I'm so excited to share this session with you all. This was my second attempt at photographing a newborn. First one was a little rushed and the baby wasn't in such a cheerful mood. A real eyeopener for me. So I planned this out a little better. I made sure I had more time to dedicate to diaper changes, fussy moments and feeding breaks. Surprisingly, all that I actually encountered with little miss Kierra was nothing her pretty purple pacifier couldn't calm. Kierra was wide awake for the beginning portion of the shoot and it was great to get some shots of her looking right at the camera. I also got quite a few frames of her famous fists pose. lol! Her mother and I just thought this was so hilarious. I knew I didn't want to do any naked shots so far so I requested that her mother pick out some cute bottoms and head bands. This sleeping beauty allowed us to change her 4 times without much of a fuss. This photographers dream baby I must say.
Well I hope you enjoy Kierra's newborn session. Please comment and be sure to sign my guest book. I researched for weeks through different social networks. Pinterest was by far the biggest help. I took a few examples and headed straight to the craft store. I didn't want to overdue so I went in with the mind to keep it simple. I now know that I shop for props the same way I shop for my son. I put everything I think is cute in my basket, walk down the same isles a thousand times and then realize that I'm picking up the same item just in different colors/patterns. lol!! So needless to say I had to narrow down my choices drastically. I had already had my location in mind and I must say for my first set up I am very proud of myself. To say I'm looking forward to doing another setup would be an understatement. I CAN'T WAIT!
P.S.- Aren't Dorrian and little Ta'Niyah just the cutest things in their Easter best. |
