Lady Behind The Lens the "NaKeitha K Photography" blog
I am super excited to be able to blog about this very special milestone. When I became a mother in 2009 I was a little reluctant toward breastfeeding. That didn't last long because my little one was such a natural. However, he soon showed me that he had a mind of his own. Yep! Sad to say he no longer wanted to breastfeed after about 2 months and the pump just would not work for me no matter how much I tried. So formula it was. I would always find myself saying how I wish I could have breastfed a little longer when speaking to mothers who were currently or did breastfeed their babies. So with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month and August being National Breastfeeding Awareness Month I asked myself a question. How can I celebrate the tatas? lol... With that came LATCH ONTO LOVE (#LatchOntoLove). I joined a ton of support groups on Facebook for women who breastfeed and received a great response from one group in particular (Black Women Do Breastfeed). On October 26, 2014 I will be shooting with three beautiful mothers who ironically all have little boys like myself. I can't wait to share this series with you all.
Many Blessings, NaKeitha K "The Lady Behind The Lens"

I'm so excited to share this session with you all. This was my second attempt at photographing a newborn. First one was a little rushed and the baby wasn't in such a cheerful mood. A real eyeopener for me. So I planned this out a little better. I made sure I had more time to dedicate to diaper changes, fussy moments and feeding breaks. Surprisingly, all that I actually encountered with little miss Kierra was nothing her pretty purple pacifier couldn't calm. Kierra was wide awake for the beginning portion of the shoot and it was great to get some shots of her looking right at the camera. I also got quite a few frames of her famous fists pose. lol! Her mother and I just thought this was so hilarious. I knew I didn't want to do any naked shots so far so I requested that her mother pick out some cute bottoms and head bands. This sleeping beauty allowed us to change her 4 times without much of a fuss. This photographers dream baby I must say.
Well I hope you enjoy Kierra's newborn session. Please comment and be sure to sign my guest book. Visit me on Facebook the link is in the right hand corner of your screen and Instagram @NaKeithaK_Photography! Enjoy! This past weekend I had to the pleasure of photographing Jaron Jr.'s second birthday party here in Miami. Lots of family, fun, and laughter!! Those are just some of the reasons I love doing family related events!! Enjoy!!
I'm so excited for this to be my first post. On December 1, 2012 I had the honor of photographing my first wedding event. Nervous doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. I studied so had and went shooting as much as I could. I am still fairly new to photography as a business. One common piece of advice I seem to receive was expect the unexpected. Simply to just be prepared for any and everything to go WRONG!! Luckily, that wasn't the case here. I had such a great time with this wonderful couple. Beautiful spirits they are! Granted, if I choose to explore the world of wedding photography no two events will be the same. However, I can honestly say that I couldn't have had a better first experience! To Mr. & Mrs. Harrell I wish you and your family nothing but love and blessings! I just want to thank you both for allowing me to be apart of that special day. Thank You for allowing K. Melt Creations, LLC to GIVE A GLIMPSE OF YOU!!
